Career and technical education, or CTE, is a broad area that covers subjects such as agriculture, business, information technology, and health sciences. Though “career and technical education teacher” is the preferred term for these educators, in some states they are referred to as vocational, occupational, technical professional, or career tech teachers.

Many states have options that allow prospective career and technical education (CTE) teachers to substitute previous experience and education for the typical bachelor’s degree requirement. The most commonly adopted guidelines for prospective CTE educators allow individuals who have sufficient experience and knowledge in their CTE subject and have secured an offer of employment from a school district to teach full-time under a provisional certificate while being mentored by an experienced teacher.

A common requirement for those on this pathway is to fulfill a professional development plan that includes supplemental coursework in teaching standards and strategies. Successful completion of these requirements and any testing requirements adopted by the state can allow these teachers to advance from a provisional teaching certificate to a regular teaching certificate.

Also known as limited teaching certificates or licenses, emergency and provisional certificates are most commonly encountered in states that have severe shortages of teachers in one or more subject areas (frequently Serica Metallic Leather Studded Block Heel Mules mI4G7
, , and English as a second language ) or in low-income school districts. These certificates may allow those who have sufficient education and experience and can demonstrate deep knowledge in a content area to teach without completing a teacher preparation program. These types of teaching licenses are generally limited in duration (one school year is common), cannot be renewed, and in most states cannot be used as a pathway to full licensure. However, in states that have portfolio evaluation or experience equivalency pathways, teaching under this type of certificate may help individuals launch their teaching careers.

Though less common than the routes outlined above, a few states do have pathways that include teacher training within a school district, or with supplemental coursework in lieu of a full-time teacher preparation program, that lead to teacher licensure. Individuals may receive a provisional or limited certificate to teach while completing a teaching mentorship and training program. In states that allow this approach, the school district may recommend those who excel in teaching practice and complete the mentorship and training program for full licensure. It’s great for your health

It’s great for your health

Sure, exercise is a great way to relieve stress and improve your sleep. But so is enjoying a little one-on-one time with you and your body.

Masturbation is a safe and natural way to feel good, discover what gets you hot, and release built-up sexual tension. In fact, solo play has infinite health benefits and absolutely no downsides — plus it’s fun!

Keep reading to learn more about masturbating with a vagina, how you can get started, and what you can do to really turn up the heat.

What are the different types of masturbation?

Here’s a list of the most common types of masturbation and the way they typically feel. Remember though: This will vary from person to person.

How to get started

Masturbation doesn’t have to lead to orgasm . But if you’re in the mood and want that endorphin rush, there are a few things you can do to help your body achieve the Big O:

Set the mood. The setting can sometimes make a big difference in whether or not you’ll have a good solo session. Think about turning down the lights, lighting some candles, and listening to relaxing music to get the mood going.

Set the mood.

Add some lube. When you’re aroused, your body self-lubricates, making masturbation a much smoother and pleasurable experience. But sometimes, that may not be enough (or it may not happen at all!). So keep a tube of lube on hand to increase your pleasure.

Add some lube.

Let your mind wander. It may go without saying, but you can turn yourself on by simply thinking about that hottie you met last week. Let your mind fantasize about people or situations that send tingles down your spine.

Let your mind wander.

Take your time. You don’t have to rush masturbation. Play around with techniques, and take your time to enjoy all of the sensations you’re feeling throughout your body.

Take your time.

Explore erogenous zones. Playing with your erogenous zones — think your nipples, ears, or thighs — can shoot sparks of pleasure throughout your body.

Explore erogenous zones.

Give your usual sex toys a break. Vibrators and dildos are loads of fun to play with, but they’re not the only sex toys in town . Some people, for example, like to stimulate themselves by using a showerhead on their clitoris or rubbing their vulva against a pillow.

State Rep. Jessica Farrar, a Houston Democrat, has filed House Bill 4260, which would fine men $100 for masturbating.

When it comes to issues related to health, state Rep. J Renee Shimmo HwYraPLK
says that men should have to undergo the same “unnecessary” and “invasive” procedures that she says Texas women are subjected to under recently passed state laws.

That’s why the the Houston Democrat on Friday filed House Bill 4260 , which would fine men $100 for masturbating and create a required booklet for men with medical information related to the benefits and concerns of a man seeking a vasectomy, a Viagra prescription or a colonoscopy. The bill would also let doctors invoke their "personal, moralistic, or religious beliefs" in refusing to perform an elective vasectomy or prescribe Viagra, among other proposed requirements in the bill.

While Farrar knows her "proposed satirical regulations" will not become law, she hoped the bill's filing would at least foster a deeper discussion about what should be a priority during session years.

“What I would like to see is this make people stop and think,” Farrar told The Texas Tribune. “Maybe my colleagues aren’t capable of that, but the people who voted for them, or the people that didn’t vote at all, I hope that it changes their mind and helps them to decide what the priorities are.”

Farrar said her bill, titled the “Man’s Right To Know Act,” takes the argument that “we’re looking at the sanctity of life,” a term that has already been highly debated this legislative session as several Texas Republicans have proposed legislation aimed at abortions.

"Protecting the life of unborn children should not be a controversial issue," state Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock, said last month .

In proposing a fine for masturbation, Farrar says that if a man’s semen is not used to create a pregnancy, “then it’s a waste ... because that semen can be used — and is to be used —for creating more human life.”

Farrar continued: “Men have to answer for their actions and so forth. So if there’s going to be an emission, it would have to be done in a hospital where the semen could be preserved for future pregnancies or it would be directly deposited into the vagina of a woman.”

HB 4260 also calls for informed consent for elective vasectomies, colonoscopy procedures and Viagra prescriptions. Consent is informed only if at least 24 hours have passed since a man’s initial health care consultation for the procedure or prescription. The bill would also require a rectal exam before administering an electivevasectomy or colonoscopy procedure, or prescribing Viagra — an exam that the bill acknowledges is medically unnecessary.
